June 30, 2004 -- As fantasy football players approach draft days around the country, many will be wearing custom printed t-shirts with their League and team names thanks to Keith Weinstein, owner of http://FantasyFootballShirts.com, and 15 year veteran of fantasy sports.

"I printed some fantasy football shirts for my league, and got so many compliments, I started a website," he says. "I was shocked at how little there is in the marketplace. Everything I saw online were cheap iron-on transfers anyone can make on their own ink-jet printers. I couldn't find anyone else making quality custom screen-printed t-shirts for the individual league."
    
Last year, he made shirts for the 2003 draft. "I love my shirt," says Mike Mitchell of Richmond, Virginia. "It's definitely a conversation starter at the sports bar, and I get to tell the world about the James River Gridiron Club, our fantasy league, now in its eleventh year. We're even tinkering with a new rule that makes the last place team buy shirts for everyone."
    
Weinstein likes to let his customers have complete control. "They can mix and match different color shirts of varying sizes within the same league, so if Joe wants an XXL white shirt, while Jim wants a medium blue shirt, we can easily send them what they desire.
    
Fantasy sports grew last year to a $1.4 billion a year industry, and is expected to at least double this year. "If I only get half of that, I'll be okay," jokes Keith, who has printed shirts for 20 years. "Seriously, though, our draft has always been an event, and the shirts help make it, and also remind you for years to come of what some in my league call the best day of the year."
    
So this year, you've got one more thing to think about. No, not T. O. to Philly, not which internet stat server to use, but rather when to order your league shirts.
